The Eyefinery Story

Susan Christensen developed Eyefinery from her passion to help independent eyewear providers be wildly successful in an ever-changing industry. Susan has a degree in Interior Design and, early in her design career, she was hired by a new Optometrist in a depressed eastern part of Ohio to redesign the interiors of his two new practices. Despite not being in the Optical business patients were seeking her advice on choosing their eyewear. Susan quickly realized the frames on the board all seemed to look the same and asked the doctor if she could help with other aspects of the practice. The first change was to utilize her creative talent to the frame buying process. Moral of the story? The office soon became known for offering eyewear that couldn’t be found anywhere else in the region and the doctor realized a huge increase in both revenue and profit.

Susan then became an ABO Certified Optician and moved to Seattle to work for her mentor Carol Norbeck. She sold high-end eyewear to not only famous people but also to those who saved their money feverishly to purchase that perfect pair of glasses. In the years that followed Susan worked in almost every aspect of the Optical industry. In the past ten years she has represented some of the finest eyewear available today. She seeks to share her expertise and experience, partnering with each of her clients to help make them stand out. Dare to be different!
